I was already kind of iffy but I thought I would give it a try because my doctor really recommended it. Two weeks in:My appetite was becoming insane. Like I was hungry all the time.I have fits of rage anything and everything annoyed me.Extreme bloating and constipation. I’ve been off it for a bit and my body is still recovering. And worst of all. It gave me two periods in a month. Never again. It works for some but this was not for me.'

For Birth Control'I wanted to share my experience because when I researched Lo Lo I found negative/horrible reviews. I was taken off my BC when my new obgyn realized I had been on it for over 16 years straight. I took a year off of BC & my periods were getting so bad that we began to think I had endo. I was throwing up, crying, back aches, migraines.... So, I had to try something. I gave in and tried Lo Lo. The first month I bled/spotted the last 3 wks of the pack, had cramps & I was so bloated - very bloated. However, by the second pack I was thinning out again, I did not have period & I did not have any cramps. I'm now on my third pack & things are going normal. I don't like not having a period, I hope I get one after another month on the pill. I hear I won't though. Please do not be scared to try the pill. Everyone is different. You have to give it 3 months to see if it is right for you. I wanted to quit at 1 month with bloating & pain...but I gave it a longer try & I am glad I did.'

For Birth Control'I was placed on this birth control after my periods started to become very irregular. At 35 years old, this is the first time that I have tried any type of birth control. So my OB/GYN prescribe me Lo Loestrin Fe. I was on this birth control for 5 months before I switched to Junel Fe 1/20. The Lo Loestrin Fe was too low of a dose for me. Before taking it I never passed menstrual clots & while taking Lo Lorestrin Fe I passed several medium to large menstrual clots a day. I had heavy breakthrough bleeding every day, every month, for 3 weeks straight for 5 MONTHS straight. I was completely miserable.The only reason that I am giving it two stars is because it made any blemishes on my face disappear. I tried to give my body 6 months to adjust but I could only make it to the 5th month. The breakthrough bleeding & the debilitating cramps I couldn’t handle anymore. I have switched to Junel Fe 1/20 and I feel so much better.'

For Birth Control'I am 45 year old that for 20 plus years was on Ortho Triclen but the manufacturer Janssen stopped producing this pill. Insurance company tried putting me on several different generic pills with awful side affects. Dr put my LoLo. Just finished 2nd month. Since start of this pill I have not gotten my period, my moods have maintained relatively same except for week I should get my period. This is normal for me. I have notice that I have gotten back acne. Hope this improves. Best part is I have lost 10 pounds. Now just to get insurance to cover this pill.'

For Birth Control'I decided to switch to Loloestrin FE after being on Beyaz for 2 months. I felt fine at the start but by the week before my period I began to feel really down. Then one day I had a panic attack. This has never happened to me before. It freaked me out so I stopped taking it altogether. For the next month I felt ok but by my next period all hell broke loose. What followed was a month of extreme anxiety. I felt as though I was in mourning. I had multiple panic attacks. I went to a doctor and was prescribed xanax. I began looking into psychiatrists and researching anxiety meds, thinking I was broken for life. I took time off work and devoted all my energy to trying to get better. I am pleased to say that 2 months after stopping, I finally felt like me again. This pill traumatized me and greatly disrupted my life. It's especially dangerous for women who are prone to anxiety/depression. If you are experiencing something similar just know that it will be ok and things will get better.'

For those who says that the acne got worse, I recommend go to a dermatologist... doesn’t have to do with this pills. Although the pill has my hair and skin so bright and beautiful. For Birth Control'I started taking Lo Loestrin Fe 5 months ago due to my irregular periods. I had months where my period just didn't go away and then disappeared for a while. I can say that my period regulated in some way but it took a while to my body to 'adapt', I would say three months. I skipped one pill in my first month and it was a nightmare. I had the most painful cramps of my whole life (I'm 44). So my advice to all my friend out there--DO NOT FORGET A PILL --ever--.In my 4th package I also had a lot of days with a heavy (not so heavy than before taking the pill) period that last more than two weeks but that went away with a 5 days (3/day) Ibuprofen 800 mg treatmentNow my doctor wants me to switch to another pill, but I have been Ok since the Ibuprofen, no spotting or anything. One thing I do have is I am depressed, I feel insecure, angry and unhappy. I am normally a calm person and I just don't feel like myself anymore. I am still considering if switching or not.'

For Birth Control'I could not be happier with this birth control! I was on it previously for 4ish years, stopped for a little, and have been back on it for about a year now. It is the BEST! I have virtually no side effects and am so pleased. My skin went through a little adjustment period the first few months around my period but nothing major at all. My weight didn’t change a bit. I suffer from clinical depression and this pill has not seemed to have any effects. The only thing I don’t like (oddly) is that after about 9 months, I stopped getting my period. It’s just made me a little concerned that I’m pregnant but then tests are always negative. My boobs might have grown a little at first but I think it is negligible at this point. Like I said, I couldn’t be happier! The low dose has really worked well for me and I would highly recommend.'

For Birth Control'For the first 3 months this pill gave me acne, but it cleared up and now my skin looks better than before I started the pill. I also haven’t had a period since I started lo Loestrin fe, which is a major plus for me! But most of all, I was extremely surprised that this pill has actually improved my mood. I’ve had depression since I was 12, and antidepressants helped a little bit, but I was still struggling. After taking this pill, I started noticing a significant increase in my mood and quality of life! I’m amazed, I never thought I’d be able to feel “normal”! I was hesitant to get on a birth control in fear of worsening my depression but it turned out to be my solution. The only negative side effect I have is frequent headaches, about 3 days a week. But they’re mild enough, and the pros outweigh the cons.'

For Birth Control'I've been taking this pill for a little over 4 months now. I've noticed a big change in my mental state. I'm usually a very chill and down to earth person and usually don't get super anxious or sad. I like never cry. But this pill has made me so sad and over think and super anxious that I've been having to take anxiety pills. I wouldn't recommend this pill if you have anxiety or depression running in your family, chances are you're a carrier of it. And trust me it'll come out during this pill. I've also been skipping my periods every month and been getting them half way through the pack like 10 days later than I'm supposed to get them. Not too happy with this pill. The only good thing is the weight. This pill has help me lose weight and keep it off. Other than that I can't say I like anything else. I'm also in college trying to get my nursing degree. I don't have time for this unwanted depression and anxiety. Nursing school is hard as it is.'

Well, after two months my acne has never even worse, I gained 30lbs (tested thyroid because it was such a dramatic gain), my mood swings suck, period is constantly spotty, and I have no appetite/constant nausea. For Birth Control'Took this pill when I got my first boyfriend in beginning college. first I thought my irrational mood swings were because of the new relationship/the boy was a handful. Noticed my mood was all around better when I stopped it when we ended. I would start it again when I would start dating people again just to be safe. I realized my mood was unstable specifically I was on the pill, it wasn’t the boy or the relationship. I am a naturally chill person and it made me very sensitive and overreactive to things I normally would just brush off. It did an excellent job of preventing pregnancy though- this is the only form of birth control my partner and I ever used. After a while I noticed that no matter how much I exercised or dieted there was always that little bit of fat on my lower stomach that I couldn’t get rid of. As soon as I would get off the pill, continuing the same healthy habits, I found myself able to lose it. It would come right back after a couple weeks of taking it again. J'

For Birth Control'I've had a similar experience to another reviewer - the manufacturer, Janssen, of my previous pill brand name Ortho Tri-cyclen stopped making it so I decided to try this since it was a low dose pill. I'm on my second pack but getting off - never in my life have I felt depressed but I started feeling moody, easily agitated, angry at the little things, not motivated to go to work, SUPER tired and wanting to sleep even after a full night's of sleep. I started getting a little acne on my back and chest too. Nothing bad is going on in my life at all and there have been no changes besides being on this pill. This pill did not work for me, I was going to try to stay on for a 3rd month but it's clearly not working for me so I am getting off!'

For Birth Control'I have been on Lo Lo for about 4 years. I’ve never been on any other form of birth control and would be reluctant to switch because my body handles this one so well. I had no changes in weight, mood, sex drive, skin or any other common side effects. There was a brief period of about 4 months where I noticed I was extremely emotional on the days of the white pill but that has basically stopped entirely. After starting this pill I had my period normally for the next couple months but it has stopped entirely and I have not had it for almost 4 years. From what I understand having spoken to my doctors I’ve been told this is fine. I see a lot of mixed reviews on here pertaining to this birth control pill but I absolutely adore it, and so long as nothing changes I could be on this pill for a long time!'

For Birth Control'This is the first birth control I've ever taken, and I was very nervous about possible side effects, especially after reading reviews. I've now taken Lo Loestrin FE for over three months, and am pleased to say I noticed no mental side effects, my acne cleared up slightly, and there wasn't a weight gain. But....I took it because I have really bad cramps, like debilitating ones, and this didn't really help. It only made the cramps last several MORE days than normal, although the pain was more dull than the usual knife wrenching. Also, for the first two months my period came several days before the pill pack was supposed to allow it. This last month it came when it was supposed to, but I have now started a second period, a week after the last one ended. I think I am going to switch to one with slightly higher dosage, but for a gentle starting pill this was great.'

For Birth Control'I've had bad luck with birth control over the years. Got prego on a generic pill. Tried Implanon, awful side effects. 3 years of that, tried Mirena. No side effects. No pregnancy. Then it 'fell out' and caused hormone problems. Bleeding heavily. Couldn't work for weeks at a time. Only thing that made the bleeding stop was the Depo shot. Some years later, missed a shot and had my 2nd baby. When the bleeding started again went back to Depo. But couldn't lose weight. Tried coming off Depo last year and using a BC pill and nearly ended up in the hospital. Had to get 1 more shot. Waited 3 months for the cycle to end. Then gyno started me on Lo Loestrin Fe for the 1st time in 8 years I have had regular periods that only last 3-5 days with no crazy bleeding. Lost 32 lbs since finally coming off Depo and no serious changes to my depression or anxiety. The only down side is I get my period during the 3rd week of my pack, but at least its consistent. Finally feel normal and wont ever use another BC again!'

For Birth Control'NOPE! Do not take this if you suffer from anxiety or depression because you will get worse. I have panic attacks every day, I overthink, cannot concentrate in uni classes because of the anxiety, picking fights with my friends and family, and the list goes on. It has cleared my acne but not my attitude. My sex drive is garbage now too. I regret taking this pill. I am scared to continue taking this pill and I don't not know when to stop taking it.'

For Birth Control'I've been taking birth control for almost 3 years now and Lo Loestrin Fe by far has been the best for my body. I gained no extra weight except my breasts grew a full cup size. My initial problem with birth control was the moodiness I was feeling. It was way overwhelming and I was constantly irritable, and my period was still heavy. I switched to Lo loestrin about a year ago and everything has been much better. My period has gone away completely along with the cramps. I feel a normal amount of moodiness around the end of the pack but not overwhelming. would definitely recommend, but know that it can be different for everyone.'

For Birth Control'I used Lo Loestrin Fe in an attempt to manage painful periods. My periods weren't as painfu on them l but I spotted heavily for most of the 3 months I took it and had two periods per month the last two months I took it. It also caused some pretty bad depression. I've had depression before but nothing this severe. It built up slowly and definitely peaked in severity at the 3rd month. Otherwise I had minimal side effects after the first month. My face stayed clear, not nauseous or sore or very crampy.'

For Birth Control'This is the third oral contraceptive I have been put on in my lifetime (I am 24) I am on my third month on LoLo (Lo Loestrin Fe) and was hoping by now my body would be adjusted to it, but I have had a week of spotting in the middle of each pack. I am currently halfway through my third pack and am bleeding enough to need a tampon. I still have been getting a light/medium period at the end of the pack as well so basically I am getting my period twice a month. The only positive thing so far is that I have lost about 7 pounds while on it, but I am not sure if that is because of the birth control. I have also had 3 anxiety attacks since starting this pill and it has given me more acne around my chin. I wanted to give this pill a fair chance before leaving my review but being at almost 3 full months on it I do not believe it is for me and will be switching to something that hopefully does not make me bleed so much.'

For Birth Control'Took this med for a little over two years for acne and stopped it because it completely killed my sex drive!! I was completely dry and it was killing my relationship with my bf, however, THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT HAS WORKED FOR MY ACNE!!! Literally does wonders for acne and cleared my skin so fast! I have combo skin and breakout frequently around my chin and forehead. I’ve tried soooo many high end products for acne and skin care, tried everything in the book such as drinking more water, eliminating dairy, etc. But the only thing that has consistently kept my acne away is this birth control!! It does completely kill sex drive for me, but having clear skin is worth it! Also makes my periods super light// nonexistent sometimes! Occasionally get hot flashes at night with this and during the beginning when my body was still getting used to it. But nothing too crazy. Overall I recommend this birth control to anyone! I have so many friends who take it and also love it!'

'I've been on Lo Loestrin Fe for about 4 years now. I take it with Sertraline to help with my PMDD. I actually love this BC. My biggest complaint is weight gain, but now that my crazy mood swings and heavy periods/strong cramps are under control, I am working on my weight on my own. I control my own periods (I skip the placebos and go to a new pack; every 3 months, I allow myself a period because I feel bloated after a few months of not getting it). I'm not sure if it's the Sertraline or Loloestrin or if the combination is what has done it, but I'm a functioning human being again.'
